Hello, my name is Arshad.  I am thrilled that you have chosen me and that I might be of assistance to you.  I would love to tell you about myself and my treatment philosophy.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) with a concentration in Family Practice from Chamberlain University in Suburban Chicago.  I completed major rotations in Pediatrics, OB-GYN, Critical Care, Adult Health, Child and Adolescent Health, and Geriatrics in attaining my board certification.  I have worked for several years in a hospital setting as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse focused on pediatric behavioral healthcare.

I understand that many people have a fear of expressing their emotions and of asking for help.  I also know that, in working up the courage to overcome these fears, your bravery and fearlessness can help you conquer any problem.  I always teach my clients that the first step to getting better is acknowledging that you need help and that it is okay to get help and not a sign of weakness.  I enjoy working with clients in all age groups but have a true passion for working with children and adolescents.  I know that the younger a person is when they find the help they need, the more likely they are to overcome challenges in the future.  The most special thing to me is making a difference in someone’s life and seeing them get better.  I treat many types of psychiatric illness including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, and even psychosis.

I am happily married, have four great kids, and live in the Western suburbs of Chicago.  I enjoy running, biking, jet skiing, and water skiing in my free time during the summer and play basketball during the winter.
