My experience as a counseling professional has involved working with a wide array of clients in terms of ages and presenting issues.  I have provided professional services to teenagers, adults, and to the geriatric population.  I have worked in residential, outpatient, and community-based settings.  I have particular expertise working with severely and persistently mentally ill populations.  My experience has exposed me to all facets of mental health care including individual and family therapy, case management, vocational counseling, and crisis intervention services.  I have experience providing care for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, addiction, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder and dealing with co-morbidities.  In addition, I have worked with clients experiencing life functioning deficits, adjustment to disability, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transition.

My approach to therapy emphasizes a humanistic, person-centered approach focused on the strengths of my clients.  I believe that my clients often possess untapped courage and resources that, if unlocked, can help them overcome their difficulties.  My therapeutic style promotes a safe and authentic space for my clients to explore and attain their goals.  I provide evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.  I am passionate about individuals obtaining their goals and acquiring the skills to realize the best version of themselves.
